Rocky Shores

The rocky shore has many diverse micro-environments.
At times it is possible to see clear zonation, while at others the distribution of organisms does not seem to follow any clear pattern.
Explore the rocky shore area with your mouse. There are a number of "hot spots".
As you view the close-ups, think about the kinds of conditions under which the organisms live.
Then use a field guide such as "Wild Guide to Moreton Bay" to identify the organisms.
What adaptations do they have to enable them to survive?
What method would you use to measure their abundance?
